Volunteers gather for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship

About 55 people attended the 2018 Chaffee County Habitat for Humanity (CCHfH) Volunteer Appreciation dinner on Thursday, April 19th at the Best Western Vista Inn located in Buena Vista. We truly appreciate each of our volunteers, every minute of time they give, and all of their hard work and dedication to CCHfH.

Throughout the evening, volunteers enjoyed a delicious spaghetti dinner, beverages, and desserts, as well as lots of prizes and a CCHfH Volunteer slideshow. Sue Shoemaker baked her famous chocolate cake and tasty raspberry dessert bars and numerous board members, staff and volunteers provided all of the elements for a perfectly scrumptious meal. Tom Rollings MC (Master of Ceremonies) and Jenny Nall (Assistant MC) did a fabulous job keeping everyone on-point and entertained, and The BV Main Street Organization donated the use of their microphone/sound system. Brent and Carolyn Jewell, Owners of the Vista Inn, generously donated the use of their facilities and their Office Manager, Leanne Stange, was extremely helpful with the room logistics and making sure we had everything we needed.

This year’s door prizes were generously donated by Adriana De Anda, Beth and Dan Cooper, C&J Automotive, Colleen and Tom Rollings, Dustin Nichols, Intentions Spa, Mama D’s Deli, Milwaukee Tools, Pa Paw Billy’s BBQ, and The Adventure Company.
We would also like to acknowledge everyone that helped with setting up the event and cleaning up afterward. This year’s event was a huge success thanks to countless individuals and businesses that contributed to the 2018 Chaffee County Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Appreciation Event.
