Our Mission

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Colorado Gives Day is December 9

Having a peaceful place to sleep is a luxury that most of us take for granted.  But for a staggering 1,000 families in Chaffee County, many sleep in cold, damp or unsafe conditions.

The families featured in our holiday card are our neighbors who now sleep peacefully due to the compassion and generosity of our community.

Please help us partner with more local families.  Together we can build decent and affordable housing where families feel safe and their dreams become reality.

This is a great time and convenient way to make your 2014 donation.  Chaffee County Habitat for Humanity receives 100% of your donation on Colorado Gives Day.

Welcome to Chaffee County Habitat for Humanity

Community is the coming together of people to prevail. This is just what happens through Habitat for Humanity every day. People come together to realize a better world by creating dignity through affordable housing. Annually in Chaffee County three hundred people come together by volunteering over 10,000 hours to recycle, reuse, reduce, and rebuild through ReStore and construct, support, educate, and persevere in the creation of affordable homes in partnership with local families.

You are invited to get involved in this transformational community.

Everybody is welcome!

May your day be blessed,
Jill Smola
Executive Director
