Bike & Build Teams Help Out at Starbuck Build
More than 60 riders assist on Starbucks build
Two groups comprised of more than sixty dedicated young adults embarked on a life-changing journey with the Bike & Build Organization. The first group of cyclists left Nags Head, North Carolina on May 15th heading towards their final destination of San Diego, California.
The second group departed from New Haven, Connecticut on June 2nd and will arrive at their endpoint of Half Moon Bay, California on August 14th. Combined, these two teams ride 7,655 miles, visit multiple communities and fund-raise,while working towards their mission to benefit affordable housing and empower young adults for a lifetime of service and civic engagement.

Chaffee County was designated as a build stop by each of these groups. This year the teams worked at the 124/126 Starbuck Circle construction site in Salida. The NC2SD team arrived in Buena Vista on June 30th and spent July 1st at the build site. The CT2CA team rode into Salida on July 16th and worked at the site on July 17th. Each team rode into the valley with the purpose of assisting Chaffee County Habitat for Humanity in providing decent, affordable housing in our community.
