Chaffee County Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce the results of their 7th Annual Mac & Cheese Bake-Off Fundraiser held at the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort Pavilion on Thursday, July 29, 2021. About 170 people were in attendance and $14,000 was raised at this year’s event to benefit the affordable housing cause in Chaffee County. Congratulations to Katie Wilson for winning the individual category and Susan Rivale for the restaurant category. We truly appreciate all of the donors, bakers, volunteers and attendees for making the 2021 Annual Mac & Cheese Bake-Off/Silent Auction a success. Thank you Chaffee County!
Three competitors in the restaurant category and nine individuals vied for the people’s choice. This year first, second and third place winners in each category were awarded visa gift cards, Habitat goodie bags, and recognition certificates. For the attendees, there was an assortment of macaroni and cheese recipes to sample. The variety ranged from desserts to main dishes. After counting the votes, Susan Rivale won the restaurant category with her “Tira-mac-sue”, Janine Giles with Granny’s Just Desserts came in second place, and Simon Pham with Elkhorn Pizzeria received third place. Katie Wilson won the individual category with her special “KT’s Creamy Mac & Cheese”, second place went to Robert E. Barron, and third place to Jeannie Watts with Heart of the Rockies Radio. Congratulations to all of our 2021 Mac & Cheese Bake-Off winners!
