Chaffee County Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce the results of their 4th Annual Mac & Cheese Bake-Off Fundraiser held at the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort Pavilion on Thursday, July 27, 2017.
Approximately 250 people were in attendance and $9,000.00 was raised at this year’s fundraising event to benefit the affordable housing cause in Chaffee County. Congratulations to Jennifer Garcia (Individual Category) & Brett Boren (Restaurant Category) for winning first place in their categories in 2016 & 2017. We truly appreciate all of the donors, bakers, volunteers and attendees for making the 2017 Annual Mac & Cheese Bake-Off/Silent Auction such a successful event. Thank you, Chaffee County!
Three competitors in the restaurant category and seventeen individuals vied for the people’s choice. First place in each category was awarded a$75 Visa gift card and a first place certificate. After counting the votes, Brett Boren, banquet chef at Mt. Princeton, won the restaurant category and Jennifer Garcia won the individual category as the 2017 Mac & Cheese Bake-Off Champions. Both bakers were also the winners of the 2016 Mac & Cheese Bake-Off Competition. Congratulations Brett and Jennifer!
