Sanchit Bhanot
Sanchit Bhanot is Mechanical Engineer graduated in the year 2016 from Chandigarh University situated in the beautiful state of Punjab in India. He is currently pursuing Master of Science in Mechanical engineering from Colorado School of Mines located in Golden, Colorado. Colorado School of Mines ranked 15th among Top 21 Stem Colleges by Forbes 2016 offers intensive courses under the research core of Thermal-Fluid Systems. Since Sanchit’s Undergraduate days he had a great affinity towards Research in thermal-fluid which incorporates a wide array of multidisciplinary applications such as advanced energy conversion and storage, multiphase fluid flows, materials processing, combustion, alternative fuels, and renewable energy and due to his area of interest Sanchit decided School of mines as his best pick to pursue his graduate studies. He always had an inclination towards the construction and manufacturing areas also including process planning, Project management, material selection, designing, simulation, inventory control and etc. Field work has always caught his interest and enthusiasm which reflects in the projects that he has undertaken till date like designing and manufacturing an HPV for ASME in 2014, Conduction of FEA and CFD analysis for vehicle frames and much more. Sanchit’s major area of interest focuses on the utilization of various machining and manufacturing processes in the most economical way in order to decrease the overall development cost, focusing this he has also published a research paper in 2015 which deals with the cost effective manufacturing processes for a recumbent bike. It will be interesting to see that how he applies his Mechanical knowledge in the Construction field in order to build the houses in more cost effective manner without compromising the strength of the structure which is the primary objective of Habitat for Humanity.
