Habitat gets their message out to the public during the 2017 Home & Garden Show; congratulates the winners of the “Guess the Marbles” Contest.
Chaffee County Habitat for Humanity was one of eighty-six booths at the fifth annual Chaffee Home and Garden Show held on April 28th and 29th. Even with the spring snow, spirits were bright and lots of visitors stopped by to visit with volunteers at the CCHfH booth on Saturday and Sunday.
Throughout the weekend, visitors were encouraged to guess how many marbles were in the acrylic house-shaped box; we would like to thank everyone that entered the contest. We had a total of 160 entries to evaluate who had gotten the closest guess to the actual 1,010 marbles; Corrina Fisher and her daughter, Olivia, guessed the house had 1,014 marbles total (only 4 marbles more than the actual total) and are the winners of the Milwaukee job site stereo. The lucky winners are from Poncha Springs and are pictured below. We would also like to give a shout-out to three other contestants that guessed 1,020 marbles (only ten more than the actual number of 1,010): Dean Gunderson, Kathie Wallace, and Roger Lupez.
